A Short
History about Anderson Butik
Charlie and Gladys Anderson
first opened Anderson Butik in May 1973. The Andersons were actually on their
way to Iowa when they stopped by Lindsborg, Kansas to stay over for the winter,
when they fell in love with "Little Sweden U.S.A." In 1981 their youngest son,
Dean Anderson, took over the family business. Gladys still graces the store with
her delightful presence and charm. Dean's wife, Charlotte, is a native of
Stockholm, Sweden. Both Charlotte and Dean do many things in Lindsborg.

Gifts and Scandinavian Food is a family-owned business with a tremendously
knowledgeable staff with a heart for Scandinavia. There are few people as
knowledgeable as Dean Anderson is about Scandinavian culture and Scandinavian
food in the United States. His wife, Charlotte Anderson, a native of Sweden, has
a tremendous amount of knowledge of her homeland. This great knowledge and
customer service trickles down to their devoted staff.
